  • There is no virgin

    May 21 2006

Last week, on Help this guy, I mentioned a virgin who was trying to get 5 million links by the end of May. The person behind the web site has admitted that it was nothing more than a viral marketing scheme. Well it certainly worked. 3.3 million hits in just 3 weeks. That's impressive, whether or not the story was true. I guess there's something to be learned here. The right story can spread like wildfire, and it has nothing to do with truth. But, I guess, it also shows that truth prevails, now and then at least.

I was just adding a comment to your previous post that this was probably a marketing hoax. Seems like I was right.
